Three Goody Clancy projects recognized by 2006 MA APA awards

The Massachusetts Chapter of the American Planning Association recognized three Goody Clancy transit-oriented development planning projects at its 2006 awards luncheon held on December 15. Outstanding Planning awards were given to plans for Cambridge’s last large commercial area with significant development potential (the Concord-Alewife Plan), and for a smart growth plan combining transit-oriented development and downtown revitalization in Attleboro (Advancing Downtown Attleboro). Honorable mention was bestowed on Goody Clancy’s work with four CDCs to shape a vision for new transit-served urban villages within the heart of metropolitan Boston (Boston’s Newest Smart Growth Corridor), a project previously honored by both national and local chapter awards from the Congress for the New Urbanism.
