Patton Hall
Princeton University
Princeton, NJ
Goody Clancy renovated Patton Hall, the first building project in Princeton University’s 33-year dormitory renewal program. Our work on this neo-gothic dormitory, constructed in 1906, established the criteria and standards for subsequent dormitory renovations on campus.
Relevant Project Information:
- Goody Clancy created a new arched, exterior passageway through the building, which connects the buildings with a new courtyard that we also designed.
- New masonry walls, structural limestone arch, and Goody Clancy-designed brass light fixtures complement the Neo-Gothic style of the building.
- Student rooms were added in attics and ground floor areas; new common areas were created; circulation, egress, and handicapped accessibility were improved; interior finishes were restored and replaced; and mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems were replaced.
